Last week (6-10 Aug) we had a decent and steady work pace going. The new and improved fuel filler neck was installed and the fuel tank was thoroughly cleaned of any pesky debris! Now the truck can use practically any diesel nozzle to fill up the tank.

Wiring is, as always, an ever improving issue with the Equinox. The concentration lately was to find and repair the wiring causing problems associated with the crank position sensor. After consulting with the crew that originally troubleshot the problem, the faulty wiring was quickly isolated and repaired. Another quick and easy fix!

Just yesterday, 11 Aug, the truck was put through a grueling test of endurance and distance driving. These distance tests were conducted to find any flaws or problems with the truck so the team could identify and fix any issues. All around the Columbus area, the truck was driven to test it's ability to withstand distance driving. Needless-to-say the truck performed flawlessly. On the highways, the truck was smooth and dependable. On the country roads, the truck's start-stop control strategy was tested to its max and it proved very reliable. Overall a great day, evening and night of testing.

Now that we have proved the truck is performing well, we plan to install our greatest adversarial system yet. The dreaded exhaust. We proven it works on the bench, twice! Now we just need to install it without it melting/burning/exploding the truck. Sounds easy...... right?

Stay tuned for more. We plan on having at least weekly updates of the truck.
