On Saturday we took the Future Truck and our ChallengeX posters and
leaflets to the Energy Awareness Day Alternative Vehicle Show at the
Crestview Middle School. This event was sponsored by the Clintonville
Community Market and showcased the latest hybrid and alternative fuel
powered car and truck offerings from the local car dealers as well as
some eclectic modes of transportation by a few small companies and
private owners. Highlights of the day included the Myers Motors
electric three-wheel cars, a Mercedes Benz station wagon that had been
converted to run on vegetable oil, and a solar-powered stage that
featured great bands all day long.
We got a chance to talk to people in the local community who were
excited about alternative fuels and hybrid vehicles as well as show off
what the Ohio State University is doing with the technology. We
answered a lot of questions, got some pretty wicked sunburns, and had a
great time. Thanks Clintonville Community Market!!!
